Embodied Impact
We are all part of a complex web of interconnected systems, and the wellbeing of one is inextricably linked to the wellbeing of all.
Embodied Impact™ is a holistic methodology and philosophy recognising and exploring the interconnectedness of self, service, systems and the natural world.

Embodied Impact™ is a holistic approach to building our individual and collective capacity to adapt to change, and live abundant, joyful lives.
Our bodies hold the imprint of the systems we exist within. We cannot address complex systems change, without also addressing how extractive systems manifest and affect our individual and collective wellbeing.
Both a philosophy and a practical methodology, Embodied Impact integrates:
Somatic intelligence – nervous system awareness, embodiment, and inner leadership.
Relational practice – building resilience together through connection, repair, collective care and collaboration.
Systems thinking – recognising that we are always influenced by, and influencing, the wider structures around us.
A philosophy, methodology and way of being.
Embodied Impact Origins
Embodied Impact isn’t just a theory. It’s a framework and practice that’s deeply integrated in all of our work (and life).
Developed by Caitlin Stanway, founder of The Formative with the knowledge gained from over 13+ years’ experience across social impact development, yoga teaching, embodiment facilitation and strategic consulting. It weaves a rich tapestry of knowledge systems, philosophies and practices all orienting toward creating harmony and equity within ourselves, teams, communities and our collective relationship to the natural world.
While we deliver Embodied Impact primarily to organisations at this time, it’s impact ripples beyond the workplace, into our daily lives as we reimagine new ways of relating to ourselves, work and the people and world around us.
